SAFE+ Program

Our SAFE (Successful Aging through Financial Empowerment) has gotten an upgrade! Perennial Park will now be hosting our SAFE+ Program with Case Manager, Maribeth Kaltz.

You can come see Maribeth every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 4pm at the Center to speak about any issues that you have had involving any financial issues or abuse.

We were rewarded a grant from the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services and are using the funds to revamp this program and offer more in-depth services for the older adult community in Hillsdale County.

This new program will include some of the original SAFE program services such as personal identity theft and recovery assistance, credit reports & fraud alerts, community presentations, and financial coaching and prevention strategies.

There will also be some new features to the program such as Socialization Day Trips, Fraud Protection Workshops, and Money Smart Workshops.

This program is designed to help older adults who may be vulnerable to scams or financial abuse become more prepared for these issues and help them out of troubling situations.
